Which is better: accuracy or speed?
Today's society is so wrapped up in getting information as soon as possible, they are no longer willing to wait just so the information is grammatically correct.
But what if that information is so wrong to the point there is no truth to it? Is getting that news story right as it is happening beneficial if the story is not correct? If more errors develop out of quick publication, then we as a society need to take a step back.
Filtering before producing needs to be the idea of all publications.
Because in all reality, what is the point of reading the news or a book if it is nothing but false?

Life without editors...
John Russial in his article states why accuracy is in fact far more important than speed when it comes to publication.

The Science Editor article also addresses this question but specifically in relation to the field of science.

In his TEDx Talk, Larry Ingrassia also points out why accuracy should never be replaced by speed during publication.
